Mel Page is an experienced teacher and BACP registered psychotherapist. He works from a humanistic and person centred perspective and will see individual clients for talk therapy as well as for Equine Enabled therapies. Mel teaches Equido horsemanship from introductory to level 2.
Cat Holland is an experienced speech and language therapy assistant and professional horsewoman. Cat teaches Equido horsemanship from introductory to Level 2. She oversees the Ponywise group of clubs.
The team has a number of advisers; HHPUK charity trustees; SENCO, physiotherapist, educational psychologist and counsellors, equine physiotherapist, vet, Equido tutors and riding instructors. We have volunteers working with us from a range of professional backgrounds.
Everyone working with our clients is subject to our rigorous safeguarding policy and DBS checks.
With nearly 30 years of horse and human experience, Ailsa, a state registered speech and language therapist) has worked hard to create a centre that offers children, young people and adults a fresh and successful way of engaging with counselling, communication therapies and education and at the same time gives rescued and rehomed equines new purpose and employment. She has an innovative style and uses a person-centred and humanistic approach.
We believe in growing skills here at Synchrony, so all who come to visit, as clients, volunteers or to work here receive high quality training that will help them develop, as well as having fun and relaxation in this beautiful sanctuary with our wonderful horses.
